We sat down with A.J. Arcaini, Executive Recruiter on the Marketing Technology team. After working a few years in Talent Acquisitions, Arcaini started at Green Key in March 2020, right at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the difficult timing, he has helped grow the MarTech team in a positive direction, with no plans to stop.
He chatted with us about his motivation for working in recruiting, the incomparable training Green Key has offered him, and what his plans on the MarTech team are.
What inspired you to pursue a career in recruitment?
The opportunity to communicate with people on a day-to-day basis was huge for me. I’ve always been a natural communicator and being able to have conversations with people every day and learn their stories, as well as their career goals, is extremely rewarding. I love that feeling when I can close a deal or earn a new client. A unique aspect of recruiting is creating these relationships. It’s all about helping people find their right move, especially in tech, which is such a niche space.
What sets Green Key apart from other recruiting firms?
The opportunity to specialize in what our niche is. Within Marketing Technology, we can help every client we work with, because not only do we understand client needs, but the market around them as well.
One thing that also stood out to me when I started was the full support of the company behind me. The pandemic hit three days into my employment here. And even though there were ups and downs, I was always checked in on, both mentally and professionally. I always felt like I was given the tools to succeed during what was a really challenging time for the recruiting industry.
Where has your team provided service that is hard to match by an internal hiring team?
We understand MarTech. The technologies, the day-to-day responsibilities, and the market itself. This allows us to see things that a recruiter working on numerous different roles may not.
Also, the training at Green Key is cutting edge. With top tier technology and access to different tools, the MarTech team has been able to grow and learn while also making a name for ourselves in the industry.
What are your future goals at Green Key?
I want to continue working with awesome clients, growing the MarTech team, and make a stamp within this industry. I want people who work in Tech to know they can come to us, because we build relationships and are always looking to succeed.
