Overview
- Lead and manage all phases of the eDiscovery lifecycle, ensuring efficient execution of litigation and corporate projects.
- Provide technical expertise in Relativity, Technology Assisted Review, and data manipulation to support legal teams effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality litigation support services under tight deadlines.
- Supervise department specialists and analysts, fostering a culture of professionalism and excellence.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for stakeholders.
- Advise legal teams on eDiscovery processes, from early case assessment to trial presentation.
- Train legal teams on litigation support technologies, enhancing their operational capabilities.
- Research and evaluate new litigation tools to optimize workflows and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise and mentor department specialists and analysts, ensuring high performance and adherence to best practices.
- Provide hands-on support in Relativity and other litigation technology tools to streamline project execution.
- Create and maintain detailed project documentation, including logs, instructions, and requirements.
- Perform quality control reviews of data, ensuring accuracy and compliance before release to legal teams.
- Coordinate vendor relationships and manage litigation support software upgrades and testing.
- Manipulate large datasets using advanced tools and techniques, including deduplication and normalization.
- Provide trial preparation and onsite trial support as required, ensuring seamless execution.
- Advise on corporate data room usage, secure data transfers, and collaboration tools.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a related field.
- Minimum of five years of experience in litigation support, with seven years preferred.
- Proficiency in industry-standard tools like Relativity, Opus2, and Brainspace.
- Strong understanding of eDiscovery principles and workflows across the EDRM lifecycle.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts.
- Experience with data manipulation using SQL, Excel macros, Access, or Python preferred.
- Relativity Certification(s) preferred.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and collaborate across teams effectively.
