Overview

  • The HR Generalist role offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, and benefits administration.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to support workforce planning, talent acquisition, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Engage in HR policy development and ensure compliance with employment laws and company standards.
  • Provide support for HRIS operations, maintaining accurate data and generating actionable reports.
  • Participate in performance management programs and employee engagement activities to foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Contribute to compensation and benefits administration, including open enrollment and vendor coordination.
  • Work closely with employees and managers to address HR-related inquiries and resolve issues effectively.
  • Assist in HR projects such as training development and policy updates to enhance organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Serve as a primary contact for HR policies, procedures, and program inquiries from employees and managers.
  • Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, investigations, and performance improvement plans.
  • Support recruitment efforts by drafting job descriptions, conducting interviews, and facilitating onboarding processes.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs, including open enrollment and employee communications.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance HR service delivery.
  • Maintain HRIS data integrity and generate reports for organizational analysis and decision-making.
  • Participate in HR projects such as employee engagement surveys and training initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a generalist role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and HRIS systems.
  • HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with HRIS systems.
  • Experience in healthcare settings is a plus but not required.
