Overview

• Lead and support nursing operations in a dynamic Intensive Care Unit environment.
• Ensure safe and effective patient care delivery 24/7 with a focus on quality and compliance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, fostering professional growth and performance improvement.
• Implement evidence-based practices and maintain readiness for regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate resources and staffing to meet patient care needs effectively.
• Support emergency preparedness and recovery plans within the ICU setting.
• Contribute to the development and execution of strategic improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Supervise daily nursing operations and ensure adherence to clinical and utilization standards.
• Monitor and improve quality and safety of patient care practices and services.
• Mentor and coach nursing staff to enhance performance and professional development.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to address patient care and operational challenges.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including Nursing Practice Act and TJC standards.
• Allocate resources effectively to meet patient care demands and operational goals.
• Support implementation of best practice models and patient care delivery systems.
• Facilitate team meetings and decision-making to achieve performance targets.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; advanced degrees preferred.
• Minimum of three years of clinical healthcare experience; five years preferred.
• Active Registered Nurse License (California) and Basic Life Support certification required.
• Proven leadership experience in a healthcare setting, with strong mentoring skills.
• Knowledge of patient safety, emergency preparedness, and evidence-based medicine principles.
• Ability to manage operations within a 24/7 ICU environment effectively.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and quality improvement processes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.
