Job Description

Overview

  • Lead the design and implementation of mechanical systems for diverse building projects, ensuring excellence and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated and innovative engineering solutions.
  • Develop detailed construction documentation using advanced BIM tools such as Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Conduct site visits for assessments, client meetings, and construction observations to ensure project success.
  • Support construction administration activities, maintaining design integrity and compliance throughout project phases.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to enhance project outcomes and personal expertise.
  • Engage in sustainable design practices to promote energy efficiency and environmental responsibility.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Research and apply engineering principles to develop effective mechanical system solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Design HVAC, mechanical, and plumbing systems adhering to industry standards and project requirements.
  • Perform load calculations, system sizing, and equipment selection to optimize performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure seamless integration of systems into building designs.
  • Prepare and coordinate construction documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor installation progress and address technical challenges effectively.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) registration is mandatory for this role.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering; 10 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in BIM tools such as Revit and AutoCAD for system design and documentation.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards, including ASHRAE, IBC, and IMC.
  • Experience in sustainable design practices and lifecycle evaluation of systems.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
