Physical Therapist Assistant

Overview

• Collaborate with licensed Physical Therapists to deliver quality patient care in a home care setting.
• Assist in implementing treatment plans to improve patient mobility and overall health.
• Provide hands-on therapy, including stretching, massages, and exercise assistance.
• Document patient progress and communicate findings to healthcare professionals.
• Support patients with prescribed exercise programs, focusing on gait, balance, and range of motion.
• Conduct patient assessments and report conditions to supervising Physical Therapists.
• Work within a collaborative team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Assist Physical Therapists in developing and implementing patient treatment plans.
• Perform hands-on therapy techniques, including massages and stretching exercises.
• Guide patients through prescribed exercise programs to improve mobility and strength.
• Document patient progress and communicate updates to the healthcare team.
• Conduct patient assessments and report findings to Physical Therapists.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Job Requirements

• Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Physical Therapy Assistance or related field.
• Valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience, with 2 years preferred in a similar role.
• Proficiency in hands-on therapy techniques and patient exercise programs.
• Strong documentation and communication skills for reporting patient progress.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
