Job Description

Overview

  • Lead financial oversight for investment vehicles in a dynamic biotechnology-focused investment firm.
  • Prepare daily portfolio reporting and manage profit and loss allocations.
  • Collaborate on strategic projects and provide backup for management company controller tasks.
  • Ensure compliance through annual audits and month-end financial statement preparation.
  • Maintain cash management and expense allocation across various entities.
  • Support performance attribution analysis for portfolio management team.
  • Work in a remote environment with a collaborative and entrepreneurial team.
  • Contribute to a firm with a strong investment thesis and proven track record.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare daily portfolio reporting and allocate profit and loss to investors.
  • Calculate management fees and incentive allocations for investment vehicles.
  • Perform month-end close processes and review monthly investor statements.
  • Manage annual audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Maintain cash management and expense allocation across entities.
  • Prepare detailed performance attribution for portfolio management team.
  • Provide backup assistance for management company controller tasks.
  • Collaborate on special assignments and strategic projects to drive innovation.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA strongly preferred.
  • 7-10 years of experience in investment company accounting or auditing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude with a willingness to learn and innovate.
