Job Description

Summary:

Prestigious law firm based in New York City, committed to providing exceptional legal services to its clients. Team is dedicated to excellence, and is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join us as an Entry-Level Financial Coordinator.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and processing of invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with firm and client guidelines.
  • Manage accounts receivable, including posting, allocating, and confirming receipts.
  • Generate and distribute financial reports detailing outstanding balances and account statuses.
  • Conduct daily data entry for financial transactions, including checks and wire transfers.
  • Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of bank accounts and other financial records.
  • Provide support in budget monitoring and financial planning activities.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, secretaries, and other colleagues to ensure accurate and timely billing.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial files and records.
  • Respond to client inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Assist in special financial projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (V-look up & Pivot tables).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience or internships in a financial or accounting role is a plus, but not required.
