Job Description
Responsibilities/Job Duties:
- Provide patient care in accordance with nursing supervision
- Manage own patient caseload in an effective and efficient manner
- Report any health issues of patients to the supervising nurse
- Set up meal trays and document food/fluid intake of patients
- Assist patients with the bedpan, urinal, bedside comfort, etc.
- Make beds and maintain a clean environment
- Assist in the transport of patients
- Take and record temperature and blood pressure when necessary
- Provide care instructions and approved protocols to families, under supervision
- Answer call bells in a timely manner
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Identify and report any safety hazards
Qualifications:
- CNA state license required
- Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting
- Ability to lift 25 pounds or more
- Must be able to work effectively on a team
- CPR certified
- Excellent interpersonal skills
