Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)

Responsibilities/Job Duties: 

• Provide patient care in accordance with nursing supervision 
• Manage own patient caseload in an effective and efficient manner 
• Report any health issues of patients to the supervising nurse 
• Set up meal trays and document food/fluid intake of patients 
• Assist patients with the bedpan, urinal, bedside comfort, etc. 
• Make beds and maintain a clean environment  
• Assist in the transport of patients 
• Take and record temperature and blood pressure when necessary 
• Provide care instructions and approved protocols to families, under supervision 
• Answer call bells in a timely manner 
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism 
• Identify and report any safety hazards 

Qualifications: 

• CNA state license required 
• Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting 
• Ability to lift 25 pounds or more 
• Must be able to work effectively on a team 
• CPR certified 
• Excellent interpersonal skills
