Advocacy Coordinator

Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Strategy Implementation: Assist in implementing the current Policy and Advocacy Strategy Plan by identifying opportunities to align state advocacy and patient advocacy initiatives.
- Research and Development: Help develop and disseminate advocacy-related materials, track legislative developments, and prepare advocacy updates and resources.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a liaison to patient advocacy alliances, coordinating events, meetings, and communications to advance advocacy goals.
- Support Advocacy Managers: Provide support for the implementation and evaluation of the state advocacy agenda, including preparation of materials for committee meetings.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate relationships with stakeholders, advocacy organizations, and physicians to advance the organization's patient advocacy strategy.
- Policy Support: Assist in preparing policy documents, comments, and testimony on legislative issues affecting the field of urology.
- Event Coordination: Participate in planning and implementing key advocacy events and programs.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in political science, public policy, public health, or related field.
- Experience: 3+ years in patient advocacy or related activities, with direct engagement in healthcare policy or nonprofit sectors.
- Skills: Strong project management, event planning, and stakeholder management skills; proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Attributes: Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects, and strong relationship-building capabilities.
