Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and revise a variety of agreements, including vendor, provider, and management contracts
- Track and monitor contracts and amendments requiring regulatory review or approval
- Review termination notices and assist with contract lifecycle tracking
- Conduct legal research, support case preparation, and gather documentation for internal audits and legal proceedings
- Collaborate on special projects involving fraud and abuse investigations related to employees, providers, and partners
- Provide support for department-wide initiatives, training, and implementation of contract management tools
- Communicate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure adherence to legal and policy standards
- Help develop operational improvements for the contracting workflow
- Maintain issue logs, project trackers, and ensure timely document filing
- Coordinate certificates of insurance and liaise with legal operations teams as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required
- 4+ years of paralegal experience, preferably with exposure to contracts, compliance, or healthcare legal work
- Prior experience in a law firm or corporate in-house setting; healthcare/insurance experience preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of contract structure and legal documentation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment
- Team-oriented, proactive, and adaptable to shifting priorities
- Experience with contract management systems such as Icertis is a plus
