Audit & Collections Analyst

Job Description
Title: Audit & Collections Analyst
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and distribute audit initiation notices; update internal records and systems for audit tracking
- Collect necessary documentation for audit completion and monitor outstanding audit activity
- Enter audit outcomes into internal databases and communicate results to employers, including balances owed
- Verify the accuracy of invoices submitted by third-party auditors
- Record and apply payments received related to audits or delinquent contributions
- Generate and mail compliance letters for overdue filings or payments
- Assist employers in addressing and resolving delinquencies and payment issues
- Provide administrative support for legal collection processes, including communication with outside counsel
- Track overpayments and ensure reimbursement workflows are followed
- Analyze reporting gaps and identify employers who are late with required documentation
- Negotiate payment terms with delinquent employers and draft formal repayment agreements
- Maintain communication logs and status updates for accounts referred to legal counsel
- Identify and escalate any overpayment findings for further review
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the team
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in collections, auditing, or pension administration
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
- Previous exposure to Taft-Hartley or multi-employer plans strongly preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills with an aptitude for handling complex compliance issues
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with internal departments and external contacts
