Operating Room Assistant Nurse Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the OR Nurse Manager in daily operations of the surgical department
  • Assist in staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and professional development
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
  • Facilitate effective communication between nursing staff, surgeons, and other departments
  • Assist with budget management and resource allocation
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff
  • Step in as acting manager in the OR Nurse Manager's absence

Qualifications

  • BSN, MSN preferred
  • Current California RN license in good standing
  • Minimum 5 years of OR nursing experience
  • 2+ years in a leadership or charge nurse capacity
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • CNOR certification preferred
  • Experience with electronic medical records systems
  • Strong clinical knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols
