Job Description

Job Title: Radiography Technologist

Locations: Metro Denver, Northern Colorado, Southern Colorado

Job Type: Full-Time & Part-Time (Day Shift)

Shifts: Full-Time Days, Full-Time Evenings, Full-Time Nights

Responsibilities of the Radiography Technologist (X-Ray Technologist):

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic exams in accordance with provider orders and departmental protocols.
  • Evaluate patient history and clinical information to confirm exam appropriateness and identify any contraindications prior to imaging.
  • Clearly explain imaging procedures to patients, addressing concerns and ensuring comfort, safety, and cooperation throughout the process.
  • Accurately position patients and adjust radiographic equipment to produce optimal diagnostic images while adhering to radiation safety standards.
  • Administer contrast media or imaging-related medications when indicated, while monitoring the patient’s condition and reporting any changes promptly.
  • Document all procedures accurately and maintain complete records in the electronic medical record system.
  • Perform routine quality assurance checks on radiographic equipment and promptly report any malfunctions or safety concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements, including those set by ARRT, The Joint Commission, HIPAA, and applicable state guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare staff to deliver timely and coordinated patient care.
  • Stay up to date on best practices, new imaging techniques, and continuing education requirements relevant to general radiography.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with a focus in general radiography.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • State radiologic technologist license, if required by applicable law.
  • Additional ARRT certifications (e.g., CT, MRI) may be preferred or required depending on the position.
