Security Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a strategic and technically skilled cybersecurity leader to oversee the design and implementation of secure technology solutions across cloud, infrastructure, and emerging technologies. This role will lead a team of engineers and architects, driving the development of scalable, secure systems that align with business goals and regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of security professionals focused on architecture and engineering.
• Design and implement secure solutions across cloud platforms, applications, and networks.
• Guide the secure integration of AI technologies and automation into enterprise systems.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of security projects, from planning through execution.
• Evaluate proposed technology changes and provide expert security recommendations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align security architecture with organizational strategy.
• Develop and maintain documentation for security designs, controls, and standards.
• Contribute to the development of security policies, procedures, and performance metrics.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with new and existing technologies.
• Stay current on industry trends, threats, and best practices to inform strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• 2–7 years of experience leading security architecture or engineering teams.
• Proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional security projects.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and containerized environments.
• Hands-on experience with cloud security in platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Proficiency in threat modeling, risk assessments, and secure design principles.
• Familiarity with secure network and server architecture.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent.
• Cloud security credentials (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional).
• Experience with AI security controls and governance.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Willingness to support a 24/7 on-call rotation if needed.
