Job Title: Progressive Care Unit RN (Neuro, Cardiac, or Acute Medical Step-Down)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-acuity care on one of three specialized adult progressive care units: Neuro Step-Down, Cardiac Step-Down, or Acute Medical Step-Down.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide personalized care and smooth transitions for patients.
  • Monitor complex conditions using telemetry and advanced protocols in a high-tech, patient-focused environment.
  • Precept new nurses or step into relief charge and quality improvement roles for leadership experience.
  • Engage with patients and their families to ensure education, empowerment, and compassionate support.
  • Adapt care approaches for post-op neurology, cardiac events, or medically complex patients depending on your unit.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; BSN or higher preferred.
  • Current NM or Compact State RN license.
  • BLS certification required at time of hire.
  • Prior progressive care, telemetry, or med-surg experience is a plus.
