Job Description

Title: Manufacturing Plant Controller

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary financial lead for plant, managing all accounting functions in collaboration with offsite leadership.
  • Support operational decision-making through financial analysis, forecasting, and identification of cost-saving opportunities.
  • Perform month-end close activities and ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate policies.
  • Prepare, analyze, and report on KPIs to drive performance improvements and align with broader business objectives.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for the plant and support long-term planning initiatives.
  • Manage and review cost accounting structures, including overhead rates, allocations, and cost center organization.
  • Partner with site leadership on capital expenditure evaluations and continuous improvement projects.
  • Coordinate and oversee annual physical inventories and monthly inventory reconciliations.
  • Ensure accurate classification of P&L and balance sheet items, working in coordination with shared services.
  • Assist in the integration and standardization of ERP systems and global financial processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong command of cost accounting, budgeting, and operational finance within an industrial setting.
  • Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP platforms.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a plant environment while collaborating across functions.
  • Strong communication skills and professional judgment.
  • Demonstrated initiative and adaptability in fast-paced, dynamic operations.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% for occasional site or HQ coordination.
