Sr. Technical Accountant

Title: Sr. Technical Accountant

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements using Workiva, ensuring GAAP compliance across all reporting
• Draft and support technical memos on a range of complex transactions including business combinations, revenue recognition, debt and equity instruments, stock-based compensation, and asset impairments
• Maintain and update GAAP disclosure checklists for regulatory consistency
• Prepare lease accounting entries under ASC 842 and ensure accuracy across new and modified agreements
• Partner with internal teams to ensure lease tracking systems reflect current agreements
• Monitor and support the adoption of new accounting standards across the organization
• Support external audit processes by coordinating timely responses to PBC (prepared-by-client) audit requests
• Research and document accounting treatments for non-standard transactions, ensuring compliance with evolving guidance
• Prepare and review reconciliations for critical accounts including intangibles, pension, and goodwill
• Contribute to monthly close activities by preparing entries for specialized areas such as lease liabilities, goodwill amortization, and debt modifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA preferred
• 3+ years of experience in technical accounting or financial reporting, ideally from a public accounting firm or corporate finance group
• Familiarity with Workiva, SAP, and lease accounting software a plus
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage competing deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
