Job Description

Title: Legal Operations Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Draft and negotiate secondary lease documents such as letter agreements, lease amendments, waivers, and discovery responses
  • Assist attorneys with legal research and lease-related project support
  • Draft and revise telecommunications agreements and related license documents
  • Customize and update internal document templates for deal-specific needs
  • Track tenant insurance documentation and ensure lease compliance
  • Collaborate with attorneys, leasing, and operations teams to support tenant communications
  • Draft internal memos and external correspondence in response to operational issues, default notices, and tenant legal notices
  • Support document execution processes via DocuSign and maintain related records
  • Investigate, collect, and summarize legal and factual information from internal and external sources
  • Provide litigation coordination support as needed, particularly regarding third-party premises liability matters
  • Assist in managing NDAs, license agreements, and various commercial contracts
  • Contribute to special projects as needed to support legal operations

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of legal experience within a commercial real estate environment, either in-house or in private practice
  • Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate required
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Solid understanding of legal concepts related to leasing and real estate transactions
  • Prior experience with litigation support, insurance claims management, or tenant default responses is a plus
  • Excellent communication, drafting, and proofreading skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance long- and short-term priorities
  • Experience using DocuSign or similar digital signature tools
  • Flexible availability to support cross-regional operations as needed
