A trusted regional healthcare provider in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains is seeking an experienced Director of Emergency Services to lead a high-performing, multi-site emergency department. 🚑 About the Role

The RN Director of Emergency Services will oversee emergency services across a 30-bed main Emergency Department and two freestanding EDs, caring for 250+ patients daily. Reporting to the CNO, you’ll lead a dedicated team of multiple ED Managers and 70+ FTEs 👩🏽‍⚕️👨🏻‍⚕️🧑🏼‍⚕️.

This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role with broad clinical impact and strong support from executive leadership.

📌 Leadership Responsibilities

  • Guide ED operations across three high-volume sites
  • Foster excellence in care quality, safety, and patient experience
  • Mentor ED leaders and clinical staff to grow team performance
  • Oversee budget, staffing, compliance, and trauma readiness
  • Collaborate with C-suite leaders on long-term departmental growth
  • Drive engagement, recruitment, and retention in today’s workforce landscape

📚 Preferred Background

  • BSN preferred; Master’s in Nursing, Healthcare Admin, or Business is a plus 🎓
  • Director-level experience in emergency services leadership strongly encouraged
  • Familiarity with multi-site or trauma-designated ED environments beneficial

💼 Compensation and Benefits

  • 💵 Base Salary Range: ~$110K – $175K
  • 🎯 Performance Bonus: Up to 15%
