Job Description

Title: Grants & Contracts Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Draft, negotiate, and manage a high volume of subgrants, subcontracts, and award modifications
  • Provide compliance support on proposals and funding applications, ensuring alignment with solicitation requirements (RFPs, RFQs, etc.)
  • Assist program teams in preparing and posting RFQs/RFPs for consultants and vendors
  • Coordinate with legal counsel to review contract language, flow-down clauses, and regulatory conditions
  • Review procurement processes to ensure they are properly documented and that costs are allowable, reasonable, and budgeted
  • Serve as a liaison between program teams and internal departments (legal, HR, finance) to finalize award documentation
  • Review and process disbursement requests, invoices, and subrecipient payments
  • Enter and manage data using internal systems such as Salesforce and Workday
  • Navigate government portals, including SAM.gov, Grants.gov, and DRGR, to support application and reporting requirements
  • Submit required reporting, including FFATA submissions, in a timely and accurate manner
  • Oversee the close-out process for grants and subcontracts, including documentation and offboarding
  • Provide ongoing technical assistance to staff on compliance matters and procurement best practices
  • Maintain organized project records and files
  • Participate in special projects and support internal process improvements as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in public administration, business, or a related field preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience managing federally and privately funded grants and contracts
  • Deep understanding of 2 CFR 200 compliance regulations
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative working style
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and/or Workday preferred
  • Experience using SlideRoom a plus
