    Midtown based non-profit organization seeks a compassionate and professional front desk receptionist for a long term temporary assignment. Prior experience working in human services or within legal justice is helpful.

Job Description

Pay $23-25/hr

Onsite Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage front desk operations: greet visitors, field calls, and ensure timely client assistance.
  • Oversee office and program supply inventory, vendor relations, and promotional item orders.
  • Handle financial processing: invoice tracking, vendor payments, expense reconciliation, and MetroCard/phone distribution and reporting.
  • Coordinate logistics for site events, meetings, and staff onboarding (supplies, tech setup, food, printed materials).
  • Maintain organized office and pantry spaces; monitor and reorder supplies as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1–2 years of administrative or human services experience.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
  • Tech-savvy and proficient with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Slack.
  • Bilingual (English-Spanish or other languages) strongly preferred.
  • Professional, culturally responsive, and comfortable engaging diverse communities.
  • Familiarity with supporting individuals with behavioral health needs a plus.
