Job Description

Overview

  • Lead financial accounting operations in a fast-paced, growth-driven apparel company environment.
  • Collaborate with leadership on strategic financial planning and analysis initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and maintain accurate financial reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes and systems automation.
  • Mentor and manage a team of accountants and analysts to achieve organizational goals.
  • Coordinate external audits and tax filings to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Support investor communications and board reporting with financial insights.
  • Contribute to a culture of accountability and collaboration within the finance team.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes with precision.
  • Oversee AP/AR, payroll, inventory, and fixed asset management functions.
  • Develop financial models for strategic initiatives and scenario planning.
  • Provide insights on cash flow, working capital, and cost optimization strategies.
  • Evaluate and implement financial systems to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Establish internal controls and risk management protocols to safeguard assets.
  • Collaborate on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with leadership.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate financial statements and management reports.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
  • Supervisory experience managing a team of accountants or analysts.
  • Wholesale industry experience with royalty and factoring knowledge preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills required; proficiency will be tested.
  • QuickBooks experience and CPA certification are advantageous.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills essential.
  • On-site work arrangement with potential for growth into VP of Finance.
