Overview

  • Lead cardiovascular operating room operations at a top-tier healthcare facility.
  • Oversee a dedicated team of 36 FTEs in a specialized CVOR unit.
  • Focus on cardiac surgical services in a state-of-the-art environment.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align operations with strategic objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting standards.
  • Promote evidence-based practices and research integration in clinical processes.

  • Work onsite at a renowned hospital with advanced surgical facilities.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Direct operations of a 6-room CVOR unit, including hybrid and traditional rooms.
  • Establish and achieve department goals aligned with organizational strategy.
  • Manage financial aspects of the department to ensure optimal resource utilization.
  • Oversee patient care processes to deliver excellent outcomes without harm or waste.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Model and promote relationship-centered leadership and nursing excellence.
  • Support the professional development of staff through mentorship and training.
  • Integrate clinical, human resource, and financial data into decision-making processes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.
  • RN license and BLS certification mandatory.
  • National Nursing Leadership Certification required within one year of hire.
  • Minimum of 3 years progressive leadership experience; 5 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer applications including word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Experience in open-heart surgical services essential.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
  • Ability to manage and lead a team in a high-paced surgical environment.
