Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Direct operations of a 6-room CVOR unit, including hybrid and traditional rooms.
- Establish and achieve department goals aligned with organizational strategy.
- Manage financial aspects of the department to ensure optimal resource utilization.
- Oversee patient care processes to deliver excellent outcomes without harm or waste.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
- Model and promote relationship-centered leadership and nursing excellence.
- Support the professional development of staff through mentorship and training.
- Integrate clinical, human resource, and financial data into decision-making processes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.
- RN license and BLS certification mandatory.
- National Nursing Leadership Certification required within one year of hire.
- Minimum of 3 years progressive leadership experience; 5 years preferred.
- Proficiency in computer applications including word processing and spreadsheets.
- Experience in open-heart surgical services essential.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
