Job Description

Overview

  • Join a dynamic team as a Payroll Specialist on a contract basis.
  • Process payroll for approximately 300 employees using Great Plains software.
  • Collaborate in a hybrid work environment with flexible remote options.
  • Support payroll operations during a team member's leave period.
  • Handle multistate payroll processing for employees across multiple regions.
  • Export and manage timecards from the timesheet portal efficiently.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and professional payroll team environment.
  • Leverage your in-house and third-party payroll administration expertise.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Process weekly payroll accurately and timely for assigned employees.
  • Utilize Great Plains software for payroll operations and reporting.
  • Export and validate timecards from the timesheet portal for payroll processing.
  • Ensure compliance with multistate payroll regulations and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the payroll team to address payroll-related inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation for auditing purposes.
  • Provide support during team member leave periods to ensure continuity.
  • Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies and issues promptly.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience; 4 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in Great Plains or similar payroll software systems.
  • Experience with multistate payroll processing and regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in payroll operations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Availability for hybrid work arrangement; remote options considered.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
