Job Description

Overview

  • Join a dynamic team as a Payroll Specialist on a contract basis.
  • Process payroll for approximately 300 employees using Great Plains software.
  • Collaborate in a hybrid work environment, with flexibility for remote work.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing across multiple states.
  • Export and manage timecards from the timesheet portal efficiently.
  • Contribute to the payroll team's operations during standard business hours.
  • Utilize your expertise in payroll systems to enhance processes.
  • Laptop provided for seamless remote and hybrid work capabilities.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Process weekly payroll accurately for employees across multiple states.
  • Export timecards from the timesheet portal into Great Plains software.
  • Collaborate with the payroll team to address payroll-related queries.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and company policies.
  • Assist in maintaining payroll records and documentation.
  • Support payroll operations during team member leave periods.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the payroll department.
  • Provide excellent service to employees regarding payroll inquiries.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience; 4 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in Great Plains or similar payroll systems.
  • Experience with multistate payroll processing is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with remote flexibility.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to temporary assignments and team dynamics.
