Job Description

Overview

  • Lead and manage the Labor and Delivery unit to ensure high-quality patient-centered care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize clinical outcomes and operational efficiency.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation for the unit.
  • Monitor and evaluate nursing care quality to meet facility objectives.
  • Support innovation and research initiatives to advance standards of care.
  • Act as a liaison between staff and leadership to address concerns and implement improvements.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage daily operations of the Labor and Delivery unit, ensuring optimal patient care.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance unit performance.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless patient transitions and care continuity.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of management experience in Labor and Delivery; 3 years preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing practices, healthcare regulations, and patient care standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation effectively.
  • Proficiency in healthcare management software and data analysis tools.
  • Commitment to fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred.
