Job Description
Overview
- Lead construction projects within a 2-hour radius of Rockford, ensuring quality and timely completion.
- Coordinate and oversee ground-up and interior remodel projects, managing diverse trades effectively.
- Utilize advanced scheduling techniques, including readjustments and look-aheads, to optimize project timelines.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and standards, maintaining high-quality outcomes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address RFIs, submittals, and scheduling needs effectively.
- Leverage computer tools like Microsoft Project and Condoc to streamline project management.
- Work on-site, providing hands-on leadership and direction to construction teams.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with client expectations and deadlines.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of various trades, ensuring seamless collaboration and productivity.
- Monitor project progress, identifying and mitigating risks proactively to ensure successful delivery.
- Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, and other project documentation using Condoc software.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to construction teams, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; additional certifications in construction management preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project supervision, preferably with ground-up and interior remodel projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Condoc software for project scheduling and documentation.
- Strong knowledge of construction trades and ability to oversee diverse teams effectively.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills for managing project timelines and stakeholder interactions.
- Ability to work on-site and provide hands-on leadership to construction teams.
- Experience with RFIs, submittals, and other construction documentation processes.
