Job Description

Overview

  • Lead construction projects within a 2-hour radius of Rockford, ensuring quality and timely completion.
  • Coordinate and oversee ground-up and interior remodel projects, managing diverse trades effectively.
  • Utilize advanced scheduling techniques, including readjustments and look-aheads, to optimize project timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications and standards, maintaining high-quality outcomes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address RFIs, submittals, and scheduling needs effectively.
  • Leverage computer tools like Microsoft Project and Condoc to streamline project management.
  • Work on-site, providing hands-on leadership and direction to construction teams.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with client expectations and deadlines.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of various trades, ensuring seamless collaboration and productivity.
  • Monitor project progress, identifying and mitigating risks proactively to ensure successful delivery.
  • Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, and other project documentation using Condoc software.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to construction teams, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; additional certifications in construction management preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project supervision, preferably with ground-up and interior remodel projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Condoc software for project scheduling and documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of construction trades and ability to oversee diverse teams effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills for managing project timelines and stakeholder interactions.
  • Ability to work on-site and provide hands-on leadership to construction teams.
  • Experience with RFIs, submittals, and other construction documentation processes.
