Overview

  • Lead fund accounting operations for credit funds, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize fund accounting processes and reporting.
  • Provide strategic leadership to a team of accounting professionals in a hybrid work environment.
  • Develop and implement best practices in fund accounting and financial management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and investor reports.
  • Support audits and regulatory filings, maintaining compliance with industry standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Act as a key advisor on fund accounting matters to senior management and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee fund accounting processes, including reconciliations, valuations, and reporting.
  • Manage a team of accountants, providing mentorship and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with auditors and regulatory bodies during reviews and filings.
  • Develop and implement policies for fund accounting and financial management.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and investor reports for accuracy.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in fund accounting, preferably credit funds.
  • Preferred 20 years of experience with leadership roles in fund accounting.
  • Director-level experience with strategic planning and team management.
  • Proficiency in fund accounting software and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail in financial operations.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, balancing onsite and remote tasks.
