Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform evaluations, diagnoses, and therapeutic interventions in line with organizational policies and professional standards.
  • Maintain accurate health records and disseminate proactive health information to staff and families.
  • Train staff in OSHA compliance, first aid, and medication support procedures.
  • Supervise care staff, including Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and AMAPs, ensuring quality service delivery.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and annual reviews to align care strategies.
  • Lead health and safety initiatives, promoting a culture of wellness and prevention.
  • Support individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, addressing their unique health needs.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution required.
  • Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license mandatory.
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; 2 years preferred.
  • Experience with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is advantageous.
  • CPR certification required; training available if needed.
  • Strong organizational and supervisory skills to manage care teams effectively.
