Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform evaluations, diagnoses, and therapeutic interventions in line with organizational policies and professional standards.
- Maintain accurate health records and disseminate proactive health information to staff and families.
- Train staff in OSHA compliance, first aid, and medication support procedures.
- Supervise care staff, including Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and AMAPs, ensuring quality service delivery.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and annual reviews to align care strategies.
- Lead health and safety initiatives, promoting a culture of wellness and prevention.
- Support individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, addressing their unique health needs.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution required.
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license mandatory.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; 2 years preferred.
- Experience with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is advantageous.
- CPR certification required; training available if needed.
- Strong organizational and supervisory skills to manage care teams effectively.
