Overview

  • Join a dynamic finance team as an Expense Accounting Associate, focusing on expense management and optimization processes within a fast-paced, innovative organization.
  • Contribute to the purchase-to-pay cycle, ensuring accuracy and compliance in vendor contracts, invoicing, and account reconciliations.
  • Play a pivotal role in month-end financial close processes, including balance sheet reviews and analytical assessments.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives, enhancing efficiency and automation within the finance department.
  • Collaborate with an offshore team, overseeing payment runs and data entry tasks to ensure seamless operations.
  • Engage in strategic projects that scale systems and processes, supporting organizational growth and compliance.
  • Work closely with senior leadership, contributing to financial reporting and decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage aspects of the purchase-to-pay cycle, including vendor contracting, invoicing, and account reconciliations.
  • Oversee monthly financial close processes, ensuring accuracy in balance sheet reviews and financial statements.
  • Record journal entries related to accounts payable and accruals, maintaining compliance with accounting standards.
  • Analyze costs and develop reporting mechanisms to support management decision-making.
  • Implement and document control processes across various organizational functions.
  • Collaborate with an outsourced team to ensure efficient execution of payment runs and data entry tasks.
  • Drive optimization and process improvement initiatives within the finance department.
  • Support strategic finance projects, contributing to the scalability of systems and processes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, with 7 years preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience in financial reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and coach teams effectively.
  • Proficiency in analytical and communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Experience in process optimization and automation within finance functions.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with onsite presence as required.
