Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide direct patient care to neonates in the NICU, utilizing advanced nursing practices.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions and treatments.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop and execute care plans.
  • Educate and support families, ensuring they understand treatment plans and care procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, adhering to regulatory standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Precept and mentor new staff, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
  • Active RN licensure and certifications in BLS, NRP, and STABLE within six months of hire.
  • Minimum six months of Women and Infants nursing experience or completion of a fellowship program.
  • Strong knowledge of neonatal care practices and NICU protocols.
  • Ability to work night shifts, including three 12-hour shifts per week.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and certification maintenance.
  • Experience in evidence-based practice and patient-centered care models.
