Job Description

Overview

  • Serve as the first point of contact for patient care, ensuring exceptional service and support in a healthcare setting.
  • Perform administrative and clinical duties, including patient interaction, vital sign collection, and electronic medical record documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers to deliver comprehensive patient care.
  • Administer medications and vaccines, perform phlebotomy, and collect diagnostic specimens as per certification.
  • Maintain examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Work independently within defined parameters, interpreting policies and prioritizing assignments effectively.
  • Contribute to a patient-focused environment, adhering to standard procedures and quality standards.
  • Engage in a dynamic healthcare team, supporting operational and customer service initiatives.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Discuss symptoms with patients and obtain vital signs for accurate medical assessment.
  • Administer medications and vaccines, ensuring compliance with healthcare protocols.
  • Perform phlebotomy and collect diagnostic specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Document patient information in electronic medical records systems accurately and efficiently.
  • Sterilize and clean medical equipment, maintaining examination rooms to high standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care delivery.
  • Support operational tasks and customer service assignments within the healthcare facility.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures, exercising discretion in task prioritization.

Job Requirements

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant training program or certification/registration.
  • High school diploma or equivalent education level required.
  • CPR certification is mandatory for patient-facing roles.
  • Experience with medication/vaccine administration and phlebotomy preferred.
  • Knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience is advantageous.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred for certain positions.
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, on-site.
  • Tuberculosis screening required as part of the company’s health program.
