Job Description

Overview

  • Collaborate with lawyers and administrative staff to support business development initiatives within the global M&A practice.
  • Utilize research, writing, and technical skills to enhance the firm's business development strategy and market visibility.
  • Assist in preparing targeted presentations, pitch books, and RFP responses to communicate the firm's expertise effectively.
  • Coordinate competitive intelligence research and maintain practice experience databases and CRM systems.
  • Support internal and external marketing efforts, including conferences and events, in collaboration with the Events department.
  • Maintain lawyer biographies and marketing materials across multiple channels, ensuring global consistency.
  • Collaborate with Communications and Digital Marketing teams to enhance practice visibility through various media platforms.
  • Adhere to firm information security policies to protect assets and report potential risks.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare targeted presentations and marketing materials, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Assist with submissions to directories, guides, and surveys to highlight the firm's achievements.
  • Conduct competitive intelligence research to inform lawyers about market trends and opportunities.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of pitches, meetings, and outreach activities in CRM systems.
  • Coordinate content for marketing conferences and events, ensuring alignment with the firm's branding.
  • Collaborate globally to update marketing materials and maintain consistency across regions.
  • Enhance practice visibility through internal and external communications, including website and social media updates.
  • Provide high-quality work under tight deadlines, managing requests across multiple time zones.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; JD or Master's degree preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in a law firm, financial institution, or professional services firm.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet, database, word processing, and presentation applications; CRM system knowledge is advantageous.
  • Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and research skills; ability to handle time-sensitive requests effectively.
  • Understanding of transactional and litigation terminology and processes.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills with a commitment to excellence.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed to meet practice area demands.
  • Adherence to firm information security policies and procedures.
