Overview
- Provide professional accounting services for diverse business units within a leading investment firm.
- Manage accounting functions for assigned entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Perform journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly close procedures.
- Analyze financial statements and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business leaders to provide accounting support and guidance.
- Assist in structuring transactions, investments, and large-scale projects.
- Ensure compliance with governing documents and regulatory requirements.
- Lead ad hoc projects and reporting initiatives as requested.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Complete general ledger close for assigned entities at month/year end.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Prepare financial reporting and coordinate annual audits.
- Review fee calculations including management fees and carried interest.
- Draft internal memos and documentation for significant transactions.
- Maintain governing documents for assigned business units.
- Act as primary contact for management teams of assigned businesses.
- Conduct special projects and requests as they arise.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
- Licensed CPA with broker-dealer licensing preferred.
- 4-7 years of experience in financial services accounting.
- Proficiency in Excel; HFM experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple assignments.
- Detail-oriented with commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Effective communication skills across organizational levels.
- Proven ability to lead projects and manage business relationships.
