Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide strategic HR partnership to managers, addressing employee relations, performance, and team development needs.
- Build trust and credibility with employees, offering guidance on career development and interpersonal challenges.
- Collaborate with HR teams in Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and DEI for integrated support.
- Support performance management cycles, ensuring fair and developmental reviews.
- Conduct exit interviews, analyze feedback, and develop strategies for retention and engagement.
- Contribute to HR initiatives, ensuring effective implementation within supported departments.
- Advise on HR practices in union environments, maintaining compliance and fostering collaboration.
- Promote organizational values and support a respectful and empowering work environment.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; 7+ years of progressive HR experience preferred.
- Experience in media, journalism, or publishing industries strongly preferred.
- Strong employee relations expertise and ability to coach managers effectively.
- Demonstrated success partnering across multiple locations or functions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with high emotional intelligence.
- Comfort operating in dynamic, high-growth, or change-oriented environments.
- Experience in union environments preferred.
- Ability to adapt quickly, take initiative, and drive HR strategies effectively.
