Overview
- Lead the Behavioral Health department, establishing policies and goals to ensure exceptional patient care and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to align departmental strategies with organizational objectives and long-term planning.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Direct and oversee patient assessments, care planning, and support for patients and families adjusting to new surroundings.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff, conducting performance evaluations and setting professional development goals.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to develop strategic plans, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and oversee accreditation processes to maintain service quality.
- Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and protocols to enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor departmental expenditures and ensure cost-effective delivery of services.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to improve service delivery and address organizational challenges.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and quality control practices to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or seven years of direct experience required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field; 5 years preferred.
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Medical Social Worker (LMSW) state licensure required.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to manage cross-functional relationships effectively.
- Proficiency in healthcare software systems, data analysis tools, and Microsoft and Google platforms.
- Knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory compliance standards.
- Ability to foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address organizational challenges effectively.
