Job Description

Overview

  • Lead operational excellence for alternative investment products, ensuring seamless service delivery for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Directly oversee fund and broker dealer operations, including trade processing, reconciliation, distributions, and communication management.
  • Collaborate with custodians, transfer agents, and broker dealer offices to build effective relationships and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Utilize industry knowledge to maintain consistent service delivery and adapt to evolving securities trends.
  • Balance process efficiency with unique client requests, ensuring satisfaction and operational success.
  • Support SVP of Operations in transfer agent oversight, including reconciliation, commission calculations, and fund distribution management.
  • Drive innovation and improvement in operational processes, ensuring compliance and strategic alignment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee transfer agent functions, including trade reconciliation, commission payments, and fund distributions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with custodians, transfer agents, and broker dealer offices.
  • Monitor industry trends and participate in training to address knowledge gaps.
  • Ensure operational consistency and adapt processes to meet client-specific needs.
  • Support trade reconciliation processes using Salesforce.com and DST Sales Connect.
  • Implement and improve operational procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Communicate complex processes effectively to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in fund operations, broker dealer firms, or custodians.
  • Knowledge of alternative products, illiquid securities, and Reg D offerings.
  • Experience with DTCC’s AIP system, DST’s AltServ platform, and third-party custodians.
  • Wirehouse operational experience and call center familiarity are advantageous.
  • Series 99 license preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel for data analysis and formatting.
