Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise and verify the accuracy of general ledger accounts and journal entries.
- Manage tax planning, preparation, compliance, and research activities to meet regulatory standards.
- Prepare and review various tax returns, including individual, fiduciary, corporate, and partnership.
- Collaborate with partners and managers on special projects and ad-hoc assignments.
- Analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying areas for improvement.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, ensuring high-quality work output.
- Utilize accounting software and tools to optimize operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain effective communication with clients and stakeholders to address accounting needs.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required.
- CPA certification or active CPA candidacy is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a CPA firm; 7 years preferred.
- Proficiency in UltraTax CS, Checkpoint, Microsoft Office Suite, and Intuit products is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
- Willingness to relocate to the Columbia or Lexington, SC area for hybrid work.
