- Engage in estimating tasks for public, private, and federal design/build projects, focusing on hard bids and conceptual estimating.
- Collaborate with the Michigan office for estimating support while building out the Chicago-based team.
- Utilize tools such as Bluebeam, Procore, Building Connected, and AutoCAD for project takeoffs and estimations.
- Contribute to projects ranging from $1M to $10M, including ground-up construction tasks.
- Work on-site in Chicago, ensuring effective project management and coordination.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for federal and government construction projects, ensuring compliance with design/build specifications.
- Conduct detailed takeoffs using industry-standard software such as Bluebeam and Procore.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to review project requirements and provide budgetary recommendations.
- Analyze project bids and proposals to ensure alignment with organizational goals and standards.
- Coordinate with the Michigan office for additional estimating support and expertise.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
- Develop and implement strategies for team growth and operational efficiency in the Chicago office.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field, such as Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, with 10 years preferred.
- Proficiency in tools such as Bluebeam, Procore, Building Connected, and AutoCAD.
- Experience with federal and government projects, including ground-up construction tasks.
- Strong knowledge of conceptual estimating and hard bid processes.
- Ability to work on-site in Chicago and collaborate with remote teams effectively.
