Job Description

Overview

  • Lead supply chain operations, driving efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness across all functions and processes.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize inventory, pricing, and freight expenses.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align supply chain strategies with organizational goals.
  • Oversee branded product demand planning, sourcing, procurement, and quality assurance.
  • Ensure high fill rates and on-time performance to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Implement lean principles to streamline warehouse operations and improve resource utilization.
  • Lead supplier-related activities, including selection, evaluation, audits, and contract negotiations.
  • Drive revenue, profit, and market share growth through strategic supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Establish and communicate strategic direction for supply chain functions and subfunctions.
  • Identify and implement new processes, technologies, and systems to enhance efficiency.
  • Analyze inventory levels to reduce shortages and surplus, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Manage supply chain leaders, setting goals and strategies to support organizational objectives.
  • Ensure supplier-related activities, including audits, relationships, and strategic contracts.
  • Develop training programs to enhance team skills and capabilities.
  • Monitor lean principles within warehouse facilities to maintain operational effectiveness.
  • Act as a leadership team member, contributing to strategies for revenue and market growth.

Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree in supply chain, business administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of supply chain experience in automotive distribution with 20,000 SKUs.
  • At least 5 years in senior leadership roles with direct reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • APICS certification and Lean Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience in eCommerce fulfillment and private equity-backed companies is advantageous.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% or 50% if remote.
