Job Description

Overview

  • Lead operations of the Cardiac Medical Unit, ensuring high-quality patient care and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance healthcare delivery and achieve organizational goals.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff, fostering professional growth and competency development.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
  • Manage department budget and resources efficiently to optimize operations.
  • Evaluate patient outcomes and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee recruitment, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions within the unit.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise daily operations, including scheduling and patient rounding, ensuring optimal care delivery.
  • Develop and implement staff competency programs to enhance clinical expertise.
  • Monitor patient flow and satisfaction, addressing concerns promptly.
  • Conduct interviews, hire personnel, and manage staff performance evaluations.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Science (AS) in Nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • State of NH RN license or valid compact state RN license required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of acute care experience, with cardiac specialization.
  • Proven managerial experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide and support staff.
  • Ability to manage budgets and optimize resource utilization effectively.
