Overview

  • Support clients in achieving employment goals as part of behavioral health recovery.
  • Provide career counseling, job readiness training, and placement support.
  • Collaborate with treatment teams and external resources for successful job placement.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Assess clients’ vocational interests, skills, and barriers to employment.
  • Develop employment plans tailored to clients’ career goals and needs.
  • Conduct workshops on workplace expectations and professional behavior.
  • Establish relationships with employers to create job opportunities.
  • Coordinate job placement efforts with external agencies and programs.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and employment outcomes.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings for comprehensive care planning.
  • Provide education to employers on hiring individuals with behavioral health challenges.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in vocational counseling or workforce development.
  • Proficiency in career assessment tools and job coaching strategies.
  • Strong counseling, communication, and case management skills.
  • Preferred certification as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC).
  • Experience working with individuals with behavioral health challenges is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with employment linkage, vocational goal-setting, and GED/college programs.
  • Ability to develop partnerships with community organizations and employers.
