Security Engineer

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Design, test, implement, and document strategic security controls for IT platforms.
• Coordinate and deliver security solutions while identifying automation opportunities.
• Develop scalable security practices and investigate emerging threats.
• Drive vulnerability management initiatives and develop new security tooling.
• Administer endpoint security solutions, including antivirus, EDR, and patch management.
• Implement security best practices, such as OS hardening and privileged access management.
• Collaborate with IT teams to maintain high standards of system security.
• Utilize scripting languages like PowerShell for automation and security tooling.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT security engineering; 10 years preferred.
• Proficiency in securing Windows OS platforms and resolving technical issues.
• Hands-on experience with integrated security technologies for Windows systems.
• Knowledge of endpoint security solutions and vulnerability management practices.
• Understanding of threat tactics, techniques, procedures, and effective countermeasures.
• Familiarity with Windows core infrastructure services like AD and PKI.
• Ability to script in PowerShell or similar languages is strongly desired.
