Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Assess patient conditions and develop personalized perioperative care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive perioperative care and maintain patient safety.
  • Monitor and document patient progress throughout the surgical process, ensuring adherence to care protocols.
  • Provide support and guidance to patients and their families during the perioperative period.
  • Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards to uphold quality care.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and patient comfort.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay updated on best practices in perioperative nursing.
  • Support the implementation of value-based care models to enhance patient experience and outcomes.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Current nursing licensure in good standing, with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in operating room or medical/surgical nursing; 3 years preferred.
  • Specialty certification in Perioperative Nursing is highly desirable.
  • Strong commitment to patient care and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing individualized patient care plans.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
