Overview

  • Lead financial operations and ensure accurate accounting practices in a dynamic hybrid work environment.
  • Maintain financial records, prepare reports, and analyze data to support organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial processes and reporting accuracy.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Manage fixed asset registers and reconcile balance sheet accounts effectively.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities.
  • Prepare documentation for audits and assist in special projects and system upgrades.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, fostering professional development.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee daily accounting activities and maintain the general ledger structure.
  • Prepare and record financial transactions by analyzing account information.
  • Ensure timely reporting of monthly financial information and reconciliations.
  • Manage fixed asset registers and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
  • Review lease agreements and reconcile expenditures related to operational charges.
  • Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently.
  • Prepare expense analyses and support department heads with financial insights.
  • Assist in audits, process improvements, and system upgrades as required.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting roles; retail experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and cost accounting.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet software and financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage month-end and year-end closing processes effectively.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration across departments.
  • Experience with tax payments and compliance processes.
  • Capability to lead and assist in process improvements and system upgrades.
