Job Description

Overview

  • Lead accounting operations within a dynamic and growth-oriented environment, ensuring accurate financial management and reporting for diverse clients.
  • Collaborate with clients across various industries, including nonprofits, schools, and businesses, providing tailored accounting solutions.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee client bookkeeping, full-charge accounting, and financial data tracking functions.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and cash flow projections for clients.
  • Manage accounts payable, receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Lead monthly accounting close processes, ensuring accurate financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Provide guidance to junior accounting staff and collaborate with client management teams.
  • Ensure compliance with IRS requirements, including year-end processes and 1099 filings.
  • Facilitate year-end audits and reviews in collaboration with independent CPA firms.
  • Assist clients with budgeting, cash flow projections, and special financial projects.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting or related field required; CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience; 7 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, and other accounting software essential.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills required.
  • Experience in outsourced accounting or client-facing roles is highly desirable.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Experience in year-end processes, audits, and compliance with IRS requirements.
