Job Description

Overview

  • Work as a Central Sterile Technician in a contract role with flexible hours.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Process sterile surgical instrument trays for operating rooms and ancillary areas.
  • Collect, clean, disinfect, inspect, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment.
  • Maintain inventory and assist with ordering necessary supplies.
  • Track surgical instrument trays and equipment through sterilization phases.
  • Reprocess surgical instruments using sterilization and decontamination equipment.
  • Perform routine efficacy tests on sterilization equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with established sterilization protocols and procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to support patient care operations.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Certification in Central Sterile Processing (CRCST or CSPDT) is mandatory.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in central sterile service.
  • Proficiency in operating sterilization and decontamination equipment.
  • Strong understanding of sterilization protocols and safety standards.
  • Ability to maintain inventory and manage supply orders efficiently.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work on-site during designated shifts.
