Job Description

Overview

  • Lead the financial reporting and technical accounting functions within a global organization, ensuring compliance with international standards and regulations.
  • Provide strategic insights and accurate financial data to support decision-making processes across all organizational levels.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistent corporate compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align reporting activities with strategic objectives and organizational goals.
  • Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements, including footnote disclosures, operating metrics, and management discussion and analysis.
  • Ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial information disclosed in statutory reports.
  • Stay updated on changes in financial regulations, accounting standards, and reporting requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Lead and manage a global reporting team, fostering professional development and maintaining effective reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and review consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Develop and implement reporting frameworks and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and oversee financial forecasting activities.
  • Act as the senior point of contact for external auditors during statutory audits, providing necessary documentation and responses.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align reporting and accounting activities with organizational objectives.
  • Identify areas for improvement in reporting processes and implement changes to enhance efficiency.
  • Provide leadership and professional development opportunities for the reporting team.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or Chartered Accountant certification required, MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of accounting/auditing experience, with 5 years managing global teams and multiple entities.
  • Expert knowledge of IFRS standards, technical accounting rules, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong financial planning and analysis capabilities, including forecasting and cash flow management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel.
  • Ability to work on-site Monday through Friday and travel as needed.
  • Effective team leadership and collaboration skills, fostering an inclusive environment.
  • High degree of integrity, strong ethical standards, and excellent communication skills.
